Here are some examples of work we have completed for smaller sized businesses.
Developed a bespoke application within Excel for a large
private dental practice to enable them to
provide estimates for dental work to patients.
It had to allow for changes to treatment names,
pricing structure, removal and addition of
dentist names etc and they had to be able
to apply discounts in either % or GBP.
A promotion company had a requirement for
a 'ticket ordering' system to keep track of
ticket sales for various events and to generate
a seating plan. Included in their spec was;
ability to add/remove events, manually change
seating plan, create invoices for customers
that had bought tickets, search facility for
seating.
We later provided this company with a Sales
Analysis Tool to allow them to keep track
of their ticketing sales for different events. This project was done using Excel, VBA and SQL.
Computer network freelancer required a table
that he could input distances of pcs from
each other into, we then would write the code
to calculate the minimum distance between
all the pcs, giving him the minimum amount
of cable required to network them together.
We created this in Excel using VBA and incorporated
Kruskal's Algorithm. It had to be foolproof,
easy to use and most of all accurate as it
was being used to create bids for work contracts.
A staff holiday planner and a rota creator
was completed for a health research company.
The number of staff they employed was increasing
by the month and the paper system they had
in place was no longer adequate. We provided
a solution in Excel, allowing the addition
and deletion of staff, assignment of holidays,
lieu days, other leave entitlement and much
more. Excel and VBA were used along with SQL for the reporting.
